Prospectus

Eligibility Criteria of qualifying Examination :

I) For MBBS and BDS Course : The candidates who have secured at least 50 percent marks for open category
and 40 percent for reserve category in the AICET-09 shall be considered eligible for provisional admission as per the Merit list.

II) For B.Tech Engineering Course : The candidates standing in merit shall be considered eligible for
provisional admission.

Merit list of candidates will be displayed on the notice board of the D. Y. Patil University and published on the website
www.dypatilkollapur.org, www.dypatilunikop.org

Students should please note that no changes or adjustments shall be made in the admission schedule as mentioned
above.

PTU CET– 2009 -10 Counselling Dates Results

Punjab Technical University Jalandhar has been appointed by the Government of Punjab as the authority competent to make admissions to the first year of B. Tech. / B. About PTU - Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar was established in January 1997 for advancement of Technical Education. The University has under its affiliation 220 Colleges offering Courses in Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Architecture, Hotel Management, Medical Lab Technologies & IT disciplines. The University has total strength of more than 2.5 lakh students approx. University has established 12 Regional Centres for M-Tech courses and a school of Total Quality Management (TQM) at Mohali.
Combined Entrance Test (CET– 2009) Punjab Technical University (PTU)

Bachelor of Engineering (BTech)
Bachelor of Architecture (BArch)
Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm)

Admission to B. Architecture course shall be made based on the valid NATA Score and marks secured in the qualifying examination in the ratio of 50:50. The Candidates who are applying for this course only need to not take CET-2009 entrance examination. However, they must fill up the CET–2009 admission application form of PTU and submit application.

Date of Submission: 20.04.2009 (5.00 PM)

Examination Centers: Amritsar, Ludhiana, Bathinda, Mansa, Chandigarh, Moga, Faridkot, S.A.S. Nagar, Fatehgarh Sahib, Muktsar, Ferozepur, Nawanshahar, Gurdaspur, Patiala, Hoshiarpur, Rupnagar, Jalandhar, Sangrur, Kapurthala, Tarn Taran

For eligibility for 85% seats category candidates should be a resident of Punjab State in terms of Punjab Govt., Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (PP II Branch) letter no. 1/3/95-3PP II/9619 dated 6th June 1996 and letter no. 1/3/95-3PP II / 81 dated 1st Jan 1999, Or should have passed 10+1 and 10+2 examination as a regular candidate from recognized institution situated in Punjab. Each candidate would be required to submit a certificate to this effect from the Principal / Head of Institution last attended in the prescribed Performa.

Note: The candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination shall also be eligible to appear in the Entrance Test. The admission of such candidates to the Entrance Test shall be purely provisional and shall stand cancelled, if they fail to produce their eligibility at the time of counselling.

The information brochure-cum-application form will be available for sale from 2nd April, 2009 at: PTU Kapurthala Campus, PTU Jalandhar Campus, Directorate of Technical Education Plot No-1, Sector-36 A, Chandigarh, Punjab Bhawan, Room No. 708, B-Block Copernicus Marg, New Delhi
and All Engineering/Pharmacy/Architecture Colleges affiliated to PTU & selected branches of Punjab National Bank for Rs. 550/- at counter, Rs. 600/- by post through DD in favor of Registrar, PTU payable at Jalandhar.

RPET 2009-10 Rajasthan Jaipur On June 18 2009-10

Rajasthan Pre engineering test to be conducted on June 18 Jaipur: The Board of Technical Education, Rajasthan will conduct the Rajasthan Pre Engineering Test (RPET), 2009 on June 18.

Students having degree of 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subject and Chemistry, Bio-technology, Computer Science and Biology as an optional subject from Rajasthan Board or any other board recognized as equivalent to Rajasthan Board are eligible for the exam.

The test will be conducted for the admission to B.Tech/ B.E. Courses for the Session 2009-2010.

1. Preliminary Examination - 5th April, 2009-10 (Sunday)
2. Final Examination - 10th May, 2009-10 (Sunday).
